The Chinese Ministry of Commerce (MOC) has recently published the Administration Rules on Recycling of Renewable Resources, expected to become effective on May 1, 2007.
These rules include scrap metal , waste electronics, mechanic and electric equipment and parts, waste paper and cotton, waste chemical raw materials such as rubber, plastics, farm chemical package, animal bones and wool, and waste glass.
The rules say that the operation of recycling of renewable resources shall meet the requirements of registration in industrial and commercial departments, and operators of recycling of renewable resources shall be put on file in relevant administration departments.
Let's hope they're sending these rules - which nobody will really bother about, around by email.
Otherwise they'll have to add 'waste Administration Rules books' to the list of waste paper.
